AUD exam did not go as planned. This time… I’m sure that I failed. I probably studied about 30 hours for AUD. I even knew AUD was my weakest subject, but after passing FAR/BEC I lost my momentum. Studying for the CPA exam is a nightmare. Get it done as quickly as possible. The downside of taking your time is study fatigue and burnout.
I can barely remember my exam experience. I was so tired going into the exam. I ended up wasting too much time on the multiple choice. There were about 20 questions where I was able to narrow down my answer choices down to 2. The AUD sims were surprisingly easy. I didn’t even practice AUD sims, but I was able to breeze through the first simulation in under 40 minutes.
I lost alot of time in Sim1 because of the Essay/Communication Tab. I ended up getting writers block and wasting about 15 minutes. I think my issue with the Communications Tab is that they never give me enough info or background. It’
What I shoulda done the week before my exam:
- Fix sleeping schedule
- Finish reading Gleim book
- Finish all Gleim Software questions

That sucks! The one thing I can’t stand is how people don’t realize how tough this thing really is. They just think I’m not studying well enough to pass!

I’m finding this exam is not only challenging our knowledge of the material, but also our psyche. You must keep going. Don’t worry about anything else.
You can do this….and maybe I can, too.
It’s probably too late for me to take Audit before IFRS kicks in. My main focus is on BEC before the upcoming essays.
